Post-Anthesis Mobilization of Stem Assimilates in Wheat under Induced Stress

چکیده
Stem reserves in grain crops are considered important filling under post-anthesis stress the absence/low availability of photosynthetic assimilates. Considerable variation is present among genotypes for stem reserve translocation wheat. Therefore, this study aimed to exploit phenotypic wheat control and chemically induced conditions. The six parents their corresponding direct cross combinations was evaluated results signify presence considerable between treatments, genotypes, treatment-genotype interactions. parent LLR-20 depicted highest dry matter contribution assimilates induced-stress Similarly, Nacozari × LLR22, LLR 20, Parula, 21, 22 20 21 showed higher source-sink accumulation selected can be further utilized breeding program strengthen genetic basis tolerance

The Effect of Water Stress on Remobilization of Pre-anthesis Stored Assimilates to Grains in Wheat
Abstract Five bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars including Kavir, Pishtaz, Niknejad, Omid and Roshan were evaluated in a split plot experiment based on randomized complete block design with three replications. Water stress and well-watered conditions were assigned to the main plots and varieties to the subplots. Water stress was imposed by withholding irrigation at the booting stage....
متن کاملEvaluation of drought Tolerance Indices in Dryland Bread wheat Genotypes under Post-Anthesis drought Stress
Post-anthesis drought stress is the most important problem affecting wheat production in dryland fields, specially in Mediterranean regions. The main objective of this research was to evaluate drought tolerance indices in dryland wheat genotypes under post-anthesis drought stress. The research was including two different experiments. In each experiment, twenty dryland bread wheat genotypes were...

متن کاملGrain Filling Rate and Duration in Bread Wheat Under Irrigated and Drought Stressed Conditions
Abstract Eleven wheat cultivars were evaluated at 10-day intervals, beginning from anthesis, under irrigated and drought stress conditions during 2006-2007. The effects of irrigation, genotype and date of harvest were significant for most of the studied characters. Water deficit decreased pre-and post-anthesis assimilation rate, grain weight per spike, grain number per spike and 1000 grain wei...
متن کاملevaluation of stem reserves accumulation and remobilization in iranian wheat cultivars under irrigated and post-anthesis drought stress conditions
wheat stem reserves can be an important contributor to grain filling particularly under drought conditions. knowledge concerning genetic variation in stem reserve could be empolyed to develop wheat genotypes more adapted to harsh environments. the aim of this research was to study the ability to store assimilates in stem and their re-mobilization to the grain in all the 81 iranian wheat cultiva...
